ATT

ATT Mobility was known as Cingular until 2007. Cingular was formed by the merger of BellSouth Wireless and SBC Wireless in 2001. Cingular then acquired ATT Wireless in 2004. Cingulars parent companies SBC and BellSouth then merged with each other, and with AT&T (not AT&T Wireless). The companys current wireless network uses GSM/GPRS technology. The company uses both the cellular (850 MHz) and PCS (1900 MHz) bands. They also offer EDGE high-speed data over most of their network, and WCDMA (UMTS) + HSDPA 3G technology over a large and growing area that includes most major cities.
